For the Weapons of our Warfare are not Carnal— The Church and Civil Leadership

Guest essay by Billy Falling

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.” 2 Corinthians 10: 4,5.

The world is changing fast, and the church must change also. I’m not talking about the message, but rather, the method. Even since the 2008 Presidential Elections, the world has changed. At that time, candidate John McCain was learning how to Tweet. Now, 70% of the world has access to the Internet, the IPhone and IPad have all but replaced computers, and a live video stream of fanatic Muslims beheading Christians can be viewed in real time. Political campaigns and political careers can be destroyed in one day over a bad debate, and billionaire candidates can be propelled to the top, just by the sheer influence of their own money.

Meanwhile, the Church is still stuck in the horse-and buggy days as far as communication, methodology, and influence is concerned.

First: The heresy of separation of church and state is embraced by a lion’s share of the church, resulting in spiritual warfare being muted, before it is ever engaged in;

Second: the civic duty of the Church has all but been abandoned, with a very small percentage of the church leaders even making any attempt to mobilize the Church for hand-to-hand combat with the enemy;

Third: in place of spiritual warfare, giant rallies are organized where celebrity ministers and ministries lead the faithful follower in the exercise of spiritual calisthenics, beating the air and stabbing at demons, rather than putting the boots on the ground to take possession of our land. The results are always the same: more lost ground, and more decline in the spiritual and moral values of our nation. A thorough about face, as a result of real repentance among our leaders is much overdue. Pseudo-spiritual clap-trap, spurious miracles, and fake healings do nothing to glorify God, and advance the Kingdom of God on earth. Real revival does. Church leaders have to take the Church to the next level. If they will not do this, then new leaders will be raised up.

Today, America is fighting for the very survival of our Constitutional Republic, which places God at the center of our nation, and the source of all of our RIGHTS. Every adult Christian in this nation should be a registered, informed voter, and vote for candidates who will uphold our Christian Values. Every Christian leader must work to make this happen. Prayer meetings are no substitute for do meetings.

God has provided us the technology to compete with everything the devil is doing in the earth, and defeating him and his representatives. The satanic strongholds within the Church must be pulled down and destroyed, then we can pull down the strongholds in the world.
