'Gay marriage' – anything but gay

"Gay marriage" is a huge misnomer, an inane, arbitrary and deviant oxymoron created by
misguided, narcissistic, disingenuous malcontents.

Gaiety (as in "Gay Paris") is certainly not the homosexual life (or death) style. And, marriage is
a holy, monogamous love relationship between a man and a woman. This has been true from
the beginning of time, when God first created the human race. As the first chapter of Genesis
records in verses 26-28, the marriage institution was created by and ordained by God, our
Creator, who decided long, long ago the true definition of marriage and family.

The opponents of Proposition 8, the Protect Marriage Amendment up for a vote this Tuesday in
California, will argue, however, that same-sex marriage is a matter of "equal rights."
This argument is completely specious.

In the first place, all citizens in the United States and in California already have the right to
marry a person of the opposite sex. Thus, Prop. 8 does not actually deprive anyone of equal
rights.

Secondly, nobody has rights that God Himself did not create.
In other words, we derive our rights from God, not from the Constitution of the United States or
the State of California, much less from a small clique of self-righteous liberal judges. Neither
the United States nor the state of California, therefore, gives lawmakers, judges or the people
any "right" to change the definition, responsibilities and joys of the sacred marriage institution
that God established in His transcendent wisdom and authority.

Jewish scholar and cultural pundit Dennis Prager has pointed out correctly in "California
Decision Will Radically Change Society": "Second is the arrogance of the four compassionate
ones (California Supreme Court Justices) in assuming that all thinkers, theologians,
philosophers, religions and moral systems in history were wrong, while they and their
supporters have seen a moral light never seen before. Not a single religion or moral
philosophical system – East or West – since antiquity ever defined marriage as between
members of the same sex."

The arrogant conceit and autocratic audacity of those today to think they are suddenly smarter
than any prior civilization, and wiser than Almighty God, is sad to see. As the Creator, God and
God alone is sovereign over His creation and His institutions, as His Word, the Bible, aptly tells
us.

A large majority of Americans profess a belief in this God. Among those who believe, most
also state their belief in the Bible as the rule book, the guide book, the ethical primer and the
law book as being exceedingly worthy, if not inerrant, and as the ultimate standard and
authority on matters of life and death. Californians who believe and trust in God and the Good
Book will adhere, therefore, to the Lord's teachings and commandments, including His
teachings regarding the glorious institution of holy matrimony. As Jesus Himself told His
followers before His death and resurrection, "If you love Me, keep My commandments (John
15:1)."

Jesus also says in Mark 10:9, "From the beginning of creation, God made them male and
female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and
the two shall become one flesh, so then they are no longer two, but one flesh." Please note the
terminology in this passage: "father and mother," "male and female," and "man and woman."
Also, Paul in Ephesians 5:25 admonishes, "Husbands, love your wives," (that is, man love your
woman in holy matrimony).

The Ten Commandments, handed down by God on Mt. Sinai to Moses for all the people for all
time and eternity, clearly spells out, in Exodus 20:12 and Deuteronomy 5:16, "Honor your
father and mother." Again, in the Fifth Commandment, we find words referring to one man and
one woman.
In other words, the Bible clearly and repeatedly teaches that a man cannot have a husband, and
a wife cannot have a wife!

In the Bible, we learn that God created the first married couple, the pattern for all married
couples, Adam and Eve. And, guess what? Surprise, surprise! They match and fit together
perfectly. They are, in all ways, an ideal complement to one another.
What God has joined, let NO MAN tear asunder!

In addition to giving men and women an ideal companion for life, the institution of marriage
has another gift from God, the gift of procreation, for the bearing and raising of children, to the
glory of God. Science has well established that a mom and a dad, both nurturing and training
children under one household, produce the most stable and balanced family life. Fathers and
mothers, therefore, fulfill unique roles and responsibilities in joyfully nurturing a child's
healthiest growth to maturity. This transcendent structure ordained by God benefits the whole
society, not just the families in question.

If Proposition 8 fails to pass in California, faceless, tyrannical government bureaucrats from afar
will mandate the teaching of same-sex marriage and other perverted acts in all local public
schools. This will confuse and indoctrinate children, even children as young as 5 years old, to approve perverted homosexual lifestyles and worse, no matter what their parents teach them!
This already has happened in the state of Massachusetts, which has seen its budget for
homosexual issues increase dramatically, its rate of homosexually transmitted diseases
skyrocket, and the homosexual indoctrination of students in its government-run public schools
blossom.

This last item shows the true purpose of same-sex marriage: the sexual perversion of America's
children and grandchildren, the future generations who will decide, once and perhaps for all,
whether the United States remains a righteous Christian nation, or a perverted narcissistic
generation where everyone succumbs to his own lust and greed.

According to the Bible, homosexual conduct is sinful and unhealthy. There has never been any
proof, scientific or otherwise, that any "homosexual" or bisexual person has an extra gene, or is
born different, in his or her physical and emotional makeup; and, the same goes for adulterers,
pornographers, thieves, or anyone else who breaks God's holy laws.

Most homosexuals seem to have adopted an irrational, unscientific view of the now defunct
evolutionary model. They fail to realize, however, that, if evolution were really true (which it
isn't), there actually wouldn't be any human homosexuals in the world. Why? Because,
according to evolutionary theory, nature would have "selected out" over time, by the so-called
"natural selection" evolution process, any truly genetic homosexual tendency because
homosexual people do not procreate, or create any descendents. Thus, their deviant tendencies
would have been eliminated from the gene pool by the untenable methodology of evolution.
Thus, homosexuality and bisexuality are not really genetic. They are learned behaviors that are
abnormal, irresponsible and extremely unhealthy. People need to seriously pray for these
people's salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by the redemptive power of the Holy
Spirit.

The Bible affirms God's command to be fruitful and multiply, to procreate and fill the earth, and
thereby take dominion over it. Homosexuals are unable to properly do so by the very unnatural
choices they make.

There is great hope, however, because many people who chose the abnormal, immoral conduct
of homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22) have been freed by the resurrection power of Jesus Christ
when they turned to the Savior of the world, who gave His life freely for anyone who turns to
follow Him, and heeds and obeys His commandments.

Finally, contrary to what some of its opponents claim, the Prop. 8 Marriage Amendment in
California has nothing whatsoever to do with interracial marriage or civil rights. The category of
race is completely separate from the category of sex, because all races are made in God's image
and are descended from God's original created human beings, Adam and Eve, one man and one
woman. The two sexes, however, are biological distinctions that have a great impact on the
children who are produced from the two sexes when they become one flesh. Thus, the
interracial marriage argument is a fallacious argument and a completely separate issue. There
is no essential biological difference between the races, but there are essential biological
differences when it comes to male and female. As they say, vive le difference! And, a pox on
those who want to obliterate this marvelous difference ordained by God in all His infinite love
and wisdom.

Passing Proposition 8 this coming Tuesday is absolutely vital in today's culture, if only because
of the homosexual movement's linguistic distortion (and resulting wicked consequences) of the
established ordinance of true marriage in God's created order. Due to the 4 to 3 decision by the
activist clique on the California Supreme Court, this traditional definition needs to be embedded
formally into our state and national constitutions for posterity, to ensure that our society
continues to honor and hold sacred the wonderful, blissful institution of marriage (between one
man and one woman only) that God created, for the well-being of man and woman, the entire
human race, and our children and grandchildren.

Our religious freedom as Christians and the future of our children are at stake this coming
Tuesday. If you truly love Jesus and children, then vote YES on Proposition 8!

Letter to Editor: response to Larsen re: homosexual marriages

God creates people and laws, not the courts.

In the Richard Larsen essay (May 27) I am appalled at his calling "same-sex" a marriage, when the Bible claims homosexual conduct is a sin, an abomination, and abnormal. How can Larsen and the Star condone and support the court decision to legalize two people of the same sex having the rights of an institution ordained by our Creator Himself, as between ONLY a man and a woman.

Larsen used the term "rights" numerous times in his editorial as pertaining to citizens who physically choose not to "match-up" to our Designer's standards. The Word of God in Holy Writ is clear (both Old and New Testaments) that His ordained institution of marriage is a covenental relationship between male and female persons.

God created man and woman to be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth (Gen. 1:28); and for a man to leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife (Gen. 2:24). Everybody has known that since Adam and Eve were created by our Heavenly Father. Husband and wife are appropriate marriage partners.

Where does Larsen think "rights" come from? From his own definition of marriage? Maybe the 4 to 3 wrong-thinking unconstitutional court? From the State? Where do they get their rights? From the people. Where do they get their rights? From the immutable laws of God. All things were created by and from the Triune God through Christ Jesus, including Law and rights.

The Star claims those who understand the "Truth" about righteousness and justice (because of reading the Bible) are not, as Larsen presumes, "the tyranny of a misguided majority." Real people with real insight instinctively know ONLY a man and woman fit together, go together, and are entitled to the special benefits of a married couple once they pledge themselves to each other in Holy Matrimony. (Common sense).

Our Creator is unchangeable. His laws are fixed for all eternity (that is why scientists and engineers and inventors can rely on specific laws of the universe and our planet), and why we can rely on the marriage institution as our Lord has designed it, not as some decide to change it. As usual, the essay from Larsen is fraught with inaccuracies, erroneous assumptions, deception and hyperbole.

Citizens should NOT applaud the court in California (as he claims), but work to pass the Marriage Amendment (November elections) to uphold what God has proclaimed since the very foundation of the world: only one man and one woman have the true "rights" of a righteous marriage.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

Thanks to my friend actor and historian Roger Nelson, who performs The Real St. Patrick in his one-man play, “The Confession of St. Patrick” (visit Roger on the web for details of his various performances @ www.a1manplay.com) for the following facts:

A Super Brief Synopsis of St. Patrick’s Life:

1. He was an Italian born in Briton around 400 AD.
2. At age 16 he was captured by pirates and sold as a slave to an Irish king.
3. He tended sheep for 6 years as a slave in Ireland.
4. God spoke to him in visions and dreams.
5. After escaping from Ireland, he returned to his home in Briton, where he had a vision of the Irish calling him to "Come and walk among us once more."
6. He obeyed the heavenly calling and returned to Ireland, where he preached the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ and planted many hundreds of churches.

Other Interesting Facts:

1. Patrick was not born on March 17th.
2. Patrick was never canonized by the Catholic church. (The Irish declared him their patron saint.)
3. Patrick did not drive the snakes out of Ireland. How could he? He didn't even have a car. Actually there were never any snakes in Ireland, in the first place.
4. Patrick quotes Scripture over 200 times in his "Confession."
5. note: God has used Roger Nelson's portrayal of St. Patrick, "The Confession of St. Patrick," to turn many hearts toward the Lord Jesus. Roger doesn't keep records, but in one weekend 45 people made decisions for Christ following three performances of "The Confession" at a large church near Buffalo, NY. PTL! Following another performance near Chicago, a young woman prayed with her parents to receive the Lord before they even had a chance to leave their seats.

Father of Our Country - George Washington

George Washington is known affectionately as "The Father of Our Country" and rightly so!  According to David Barton of Wallbuilders: "Probably no individual outside of Jesus Christ had a greater impact on American life and culture.  As President Calvin Coolidge acknowledged nearly a century ago:

"Washington was the directing spirit without which there would have been no independence, no Union, no Constitution, and no Republic..... We cannot yet estimate him.  We can only indicate our reverence for him and thank the Divine Providence which kept him to serve and inspire his fellow man."

Richard Henry Lee proclaimed after Washington's death at the end of the 18th century: George Washington was -- "First in War, First in Peace, and First in the hearts of his Countrymen." 

Today marks George Washington's 276th birthday.  

Dr. D. James Kennedy said of this American hero: "His character was the wonder of the world. Not even his most relentless foes of the Revolutionary War could denigrate his character. But what gave rise to such amazing character? For starters, his parents, both dedicated Christians, raised him in a godly home.  His father taught him to be unselfish, to love the truth, and to worship God.  Hids mother helped him develop his prayer life.  As an adult he carried on these good disciplines..... Washington spent his mornings and evenings reading Scripture and in prayer. Every day he maintained a consistent devotional life, seeking God's guidance.  As Washington led our country, he never once trusted in his character to guide him; he trusted in Jesus Christ, the only perfect person who ever lived..... As good heroes do, Washington provided us a good example of a faithful Christian."

Happy Birthday on PRESIDENTS DAY to WASHINGTON and LINCOLN

Dear Friends, we honor past presidents of the U.S.A. - all of them but particularly George Washington, the Father of the Country (my favorite, my hero), and also Abraham Lincoln (although he certainly was the first of the big-government interventionist presidents).  I have some furthering comments and quotations from these astute gentlemen of past years, our former Presidents, at the end, but initially, please enjoy.

George Washington: "You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all the religion of Jesus Christ.'' (to the Delaware Indian Chiefs on Aug 12, 1779)

"It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God,. to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits , and humbly to implore his protection and favor… beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether inpublic or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed” (Thanks giving Proclamation, October 3, 1789)

Abraham Lincoln: "In regard to this Great Book (The Bible), I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it, we would not know right from wrong." (Lincoln farewell at Springfield, II, February 11, 1861)

His contemporaries acknowledged God’s hand in his selection as commander of the Continental army and later as president, believing that, without him, America would not have prevailed in the Revolution or prospered as a new nation founded in liberty.

“He provided the leadership to hold the troops together during the Revolutionary War, and once the war was won, he rebuffed an attempt to make him king of the United States, thereby preventing a monarchy or military rule.

“Apostle of Liberty: The World-Changing Leadership of George Washington is a biography of the great man, but in truth it is more than a mere biography. It also looks at his unique qualities as a leader and how those qualities marked him as a leader among leaders. In doing so, it reveals a man whose greatness did not stem from oratorical skills, superior knowledge, or brilliant military tactics, but rather from virtue.

“He understood his duty and his proper role, and he pursued them with invincible resolution. Largely, this was due to his belief that God in His providence had chose him to lead the new nation — founded on civil, religious, and economic liberty — and that the experiment that had begun under his leadership as president of the Constitutional Convention and was successful under his leadership in battle would also prosper under his leadership and change the world if given the opportunity to succeed.”

Following are further excerpts from President Abraham Lincoln’s March 30, 1863 Proclamation during the dark days of the Civil War (un-civil that is) in which he declared national days of fasting and prayer. Lincoln was following a practice that had been followed throughout the American experiment by its Founding Fathers, and he is to be commended for his coming to faith in Christ, as he admitted, at the time of his famous Gettysburg Address:

“It is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God; to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.

“...We have been recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown; but we have forgotten God.

“...It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”

35th Anniversary of the infamous and wicked 1973 Supreme Court decision

“YOU SHALL NOT MURDER!” – Deuteronomy 5:17 (Commandment VI)

“Now this is the commandment, and these are the statues and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them…. That you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life….” – Deuteronomy 6:1-2

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The Days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” – Psalm 139:13-16

As of today January 22, the 35th anniversary of the infamous Supreme Court abominable decision Roe v. Wade: an estimated 50 million babies have been aborted (murdered) in and partially-out-of women’s wombs in the U.S.A.

The magnitude of this (fifty million dead babies) represents a population greater than that of any state in the union; greater than California (36 million people); and considerably more than the next two largest states combined (Texas and New York – 23 million and 19 million people respectively).

Today just under 1.3 million babies are killed by their mothers (and fathers) on average every year (it peaked in 1990 at 1.6 million annually). Repeat abortions by women, mostly single, amounts to nearly 600,000 per year, approaching one half the total.

An estimated 3526 abortions per day, based upon statistics from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, research affiliate of Planned Parenthood, the Centers for Disease Control, and the National Right to Life (that by Jan. 22 or 23rd) 50 million will have been put to death, voluntarily in the past thirty five years in our land.

Suction curettage represents the methodology of murder in 87.4% of the cases and sharp curettage 1.2%; with chemical abortions (such as RU486), intrauterine instillation and other procedures of destruction totaling10.8% of the baby deaths.

Abortion deaths have claimed more lives than all the world wars in the history of mankind. And as Francis Schaeffer stated so aptly, “life” is by far the most important of human rights; no other rights are of any value if one has no life. Aboritoriums, as Dr. D. James Kennedy calls the abortion mills (chambers) is the scurge of death; an Abomination! As Brian Fisher of Coral Ridge Ministries stated (on Sanctity of Life Sunday’s Coral Ridge Hour TV show) do not refer to it as Pro-Choice as it is a Pro-Death movement. The innocent baby has no choice in the matter. Enough is Enough! states Mr. Fisher. I say Amen to that! Enough is Enough. Wake up, Church in America!!!

The right of life is no longer (since 1973 in America) no longer “unalienable” because an innocent unborn child can be put to death for the convenience of the mother (and father for that matter when the man is involved in the decision).

Christian action necessary, vital, crucial, demanded, NOW!. If Christians are not going to get involved, who will? Most Believers have sat by (or in their pews, or comfort of their homes) idly by too long and ignored (perhaps prayed, thankfully) regarding this major blight and abomination in God’s sight too long: 35 years! Will we ever begin to act and be those who believe in and take seriously God’s Laws - Christ’s character?

A. Pray. Imprecatory Prayers with fasting.
B. Rescue babies at abortion chambers (sidewalk counseling, picketing, praying).
C. Get involved and elect Pro-Life committed candidates at all levels of government; VOTE right. Vote for those who believe in God and His Laws.
D. Support Human Life Amendments around the country as various states, through mainly Christian activism, promotes measures to define fertilized eggs as human beings and to afford them state constitutional protections (such as young 20 year old Kristi Burton is spearheading in Colorado.) --- as reported in January 12/19 special anniversary issue – World Magazine.
E. Work to get Congress to support Congressman Ron Paul’s Sanctity of Life Act (H.R. 2597) to limit the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and federal district courts to prevent them from adjudicating abortion cases. (FYI, in Roe v. Wade the majority ruling opinion (paraphrased) indicated if it were ever proven that life began in the womb, that fetuses (embryos) became human beings, it could nullify their decision.) Since 1973 hasn’t science, with 3D and 4D imaging machines, along with common sense, proven that babies are alive and growing inside the mother’s womb before actual birth? Roe v. Wade should immediately be challenged and nullified.
F. Lead people to Jesus Christ through your witness and the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. As D. James Kennedy affirmed, the more people who become Christians and commit to our Lord, the less abortions will take place, due to obedience to Christ and His command THOU SHALT NOT MURDER!

Now is the time for all of us who believe in God and His Law (and of course, Pro-Life) to step up our activity, with passion, knowing babies are being murdered right in our neighborhoods. What is our response to God’s Sixth Commandment going to be?

P.S. this mandate to rescue babies includes China and its one-child policy to do forced abortions to kill children (in the guise of controlling their over-population). And everywhere in the world. God’s Law applies to ALL people for ALL time and for ALL eternity* - Jerry

National Thanksgiving Under Washington's Administration

A resolution was adopted in the House of Representatives, September 25, 1789, in the following words-

On motion-
Resolved, 'That a joint committee of both Houses be directed to wait upon the President of the United States to request that he would recommend to the people of the United States a day of thanksgiving, and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with gratefud hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a constitution of government for their safety and happiness.

Ordered, That Mr. Boudinot, Mr. Sherman, and Mr. Silvester be of the said committee on the part of this House.

Concurred in by the Senate the same day.

Washington, as President of the United States, on the 3d day of October, 1789, issued a proclamation, in pursuance of the above proceedings of Congress, which my be found on page 275 of this volume.

The following proclamation, by Washington, was made, without special authority from Congress, in view of the suppression of the rebellion in Western Pennsylvania in 1795, which for a time threatened the safety of the Union. It is invested with new and profound interest in view of the great Southern rebellion of 1863, and is a striking evidence o f the prophetic vision of Washington, foreboding good or ill to the nation according to its adherence to, or departure
from, the principles of order, morality, and piety.

A PROCLAMATION
When we review the calamities which afflict so many other nations, the present condition of the United States affords much of consolation and satisfaction. Our exemption hitherto from foreign war, an increasing prospect of the continuance of that exemption, the great degree of internal tranquillity we have enjoyed, the recent confirmation of that tranquillity by the suppression of an insurrection which so wantonly threatened it, the happy course of our public affairs in general, the unexampled prosperity of all classes of our citizens, are circumstances which peculiarly mark our situation with indications of the Divine beneficence towards us. In such a state, it is in an especial manner our duty as a people, with devout
reverence and affectionate gratitude, to acknowledge our many and great obligations to Almighty God, and to implore him to continue and confirm the blessings we experience.

Anchors from Apostle Paul's Shipwreck Presumed Found

My wife Gail and I had the unique and exciting experience of going to the island nation of Malta this past spring as part of a very small team of people attempting to locate remains from the Apostle Paul's shipwreck as recorded in the 17th chapter of the Book of Acts. As publisher of Powerboat magazine by trade, I normally get to ride in very fast performance powerboats. This trip was different but historically memorable.

This boat ride was in St. Thomas Bay and we were searching for the location of the sea anchors that were 'cut' by the sailors on an Alexandrian Roman freighter ship in the first century, following an unusual and horrid fourteen-day storm that left the 276 passengers (sailors and prisoners including Paul) run aground on a reef in this small bay on the southern end of Malta. This was explicitly recorded in Acts chapter 27 of the Bible.

Tradition over the past twenty centuries by the Maltese and Biblical scholars presumed the shipwreck occurred at the opposite (north) end of the island, in a bay they named St. Paul's Bay.

However, over the two millennia no known artifacts of the 180 ft. x 45 ft.-beam freighter ship in or around St. Paul's Bay have been discovered.

Comes on the scene, my friend, Bob Cornuke, founder and president of Bible Archaeology Search And Exploration Institute, Colorado Springs. Bob and I met on the National Day of Prayer last year when I invited him out to speak at our annual Ventura prayer breakfast. His talk was about his escapades discovering the "Real" Mt. Sinai (where the Ten Commandments were given by God to Moses).

Mt. Sinai was always assumed to be in the Sinai Peninsula. Cornuke had taken the Bible literally, traced the steps of the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt (recorded in Genesis & Exodus) and with other clues led him instead to the Arabian Peninsula where he believes is the location of the "true" Mt. Sinai mountain. After hearing him talk and seeing his pictures and video footage, I'm convinced.

Bob invited us to join him in the search for the "real" St. Paul's shipwreck site in Malta, again by using the Bible as a chart, as St. Luke logged/recorded the trip from the shores of Asia Minor (Turkey) to Malta (on the way to Rome) in great specific detail in the book of Acts.

Cornuke, a modern day Indiana Jones (who also accompanied Astronaut Jim Irwin in search of Noah's Ark, and made expeditions pursuing the Ark of the Covenant (traced to Ethiopia) and the "Real" Mt. Sinai, now reveals the finding of four anchors discovered in the exact geographical sea area predicted by Cornuke using the Bible as a guide book.

The four anchors have been found all in the same area, in St. Thomas Bay (where we patrolled in our slow-moving powerboat), at the specific depth under the water that was recorded in Scriptures. Furthermore, we found a reef at the precise depth recorded as well that the huge ship eventually ran aground (with all passengers/crew swimming safely to shore).

Former USA Ambassador to Malta, Miss Kathryn Proffitt, Phoenix, Az., assisted us greatly on the trip as part of the team, opening doors to meet with professors and scholars from the University of Malta (and Maltese governmental officials). Cornuke met with the Prime Minister of Malta who arranged for the Brigadier General of the island to provide a U.S. Coast Guard assisted Malta maritime computer-room analysis of the pre-programmed ocean's water currents, adding the Biblical data of the stormy wind conditions and ship's route, etc. The very surprised Maltese maritime officials validated on the computers the accuracy of the 1st century incident confirming the likely offcourse cruise ending at St. Thomas Bay, where the four sea anchors were discovered/recovered.

The adventure has been captured by Video Producer Jim Fitzgerald of Coldwater Productions, Colorado Springs, and his film crew, for a documentary on the whole episode. Edgar & Yvonne Miles, El Paso, Texas, of the expedition crew, are publishing a book for Mr. Cornuke on the story. And Powerboat Magazine is breaking the story, a unique one for us, with the permission of Mr. Cornuke of BASE Institute, Colorado Springs.

Not the fastest powerboat ride of my life, but cruising around St. Thomas Bay to find the spot where the anchors were cut in the first century (as well as around the islands of Malta and Gozo on a larger vessel) was an adventure Gail and I will always remember. I tried to pick up one of the massive lead anchor stocks remaining (wood portion deteriorated) from one of the gigantic anchors (verified as an authentic first century Roman lead & wooden anchor as used on Alexandrian cargo ships sailing on official Roman business) but was too heavy to lift (see picture at left).

There is so much more to this incredible story! We were involved with history in the making on our boat cruise and trip to Malta the end of Spring. Four anchors had been found by divers in the location and the precise depth that Mr. Cornuke's research taken from explicit Biblical writings about St. Paul's shipwreck a generation after the death & resurrection of Christ.

It's all recorded in the book of Acts in the New Testament, and has now been verified with these artifacts from St. Thomas Bay. God's Word is reliable. Not the fastest boat ride, but the most astonishing one I've had, there in the blue Mediterranean.
